The Veterinary Biologics Training Programme has been offered every year since 1996. Almost 1800 individuals, including more than 500 attendees from 84 countries, have attended the programme.
Programme Topics
Block 1: Basic Immunology and Principles of Vaccination, taught by James A. Roth, DVM, PhD, DACVM, an award winning instructor. The material offered in Block 1 of the Veterinary Biologics Program is also available through an online course. Block 2: Procedures for Ensuring Vaccine Safety and Efficacy, taught by regulatory officials from the USDA APHIS VS Center for Veterinary Biologics. This block covers the requirements and processes for licensing/registration and testing of veterinary biological products and reviews the inspection and compliance process for production, release and post-marketing surveillance of veterinary biological products covered under the Virus-Serum-Toxin Act.

Veterinary Biologics Training Program Scheduled for May
US - Registration is now open for the 2013 Veterinary Biologics Training Programme (14-24 May, 2013 in Ames, Iowa USA). The course gives participants an overview of the scientific principles of vaccines and vaccination and of the USDA regulatory process for assuring the purity, safety, potency and efficacy of veterinary biologics.
