Salmonids

CHILE - After being postponed due to the earthquake and tsunami that recently affected the country, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has announced new dates for the Salmon Aquaculture Dialogue meeting in Puerto Montt, Chile on 12 to 13 May 2010.

According to the NGO this meeting will run from approximately 9 am to 5:30 pm on both days and the meeting venue will be announced as soon as it is confirmed, reports FishfarmingXpert.

WWF added: “At the meeting, we will discuss the report by the Social Working Group for the Dialogue, which will be released in the coming weeks in both English and Spanish. We will also discuss key issues related to the draft Salmon Dialogue indicators and standards to address environmental and social impacts, which are under development.”
