OIE: Outbreak of Infection with Perkinsus Olseni in French Polynesia

FRENCH POLYNESIA - An outbreak of Infection with Perkinsus olseni, has been reported at in French Polynesia.

The outbreak affected a salt water oyster bed in Hao, Tuamotu, Gambier, where is caused 83.3 per cent morbidity.

The cause of the infection is thought to be due to the horizontal spread through water.
