OIE: ISA Outbreak Confirmed in Norway

NORWAY - An outbreak of Infectious salmon anaemia (ISA) has been reported to the OIE by Dr Keren Bar-Yaacov, Chief Veterinary Officer, Norway.

The outbreak was reported on a semi-open salt water Atlantic salmon farm in Daumannsvika, Salten, Nordland.

With 30 cases reported to the OIE on the 5 February, the disease resulted in only one death of the 529,086 fish susceptible.

The cause of the outbreak is unknown and the case has now been resolved.

Control measures have been applied.
