North Atlantic Seafood Forum 2010

NORWAY - The fifth annual North Atlantic Seafood Forum will take place in Oslo on 3-4 March 2010.

Conference Director Jorgen Lund says: "The coming years will be ones of great challenges and opportunities for our industry. A wind of change is blowing, with big decisions to be made, not least the reform of the EU Common Fisheries Policy, Iceland’s likely entry, impending IUU regulations, climate change issues – all set against a turbulent economic background."

With this in mind, the conference has assembled a formidable group of international experts to look ahead to 2015 and tell delegates what the playing field is going to look like.

The 2010 programme will cover the following main topics:

  • North Atlantic Fisheries and Fish Farming towards 2015
  • Seafood Industry Captains to present 'view from the bridge' and the European market outlook
  • The MarineLife Innovation Seminar (day 1) and MarineLife Innovative Cases (day 2)
  • World Seafood Markets - Trends and Outlook
  • Outlook for the North Atlantic Fisheries - resources, supply and prices
  • Seafood Corporate Finance Seminar (with Company Presentations)
