The meeting has also discussed the implementation of the current EU regulation to combat illegal fishing, and has established a schedule of joint actions to be undertaken during 2013.
These actions are intended to provide maximum transparency in the fishing activities of third country fleets in international waters and coastal countries and to prevent corruption, ensuring the protection of fishery resources.
