Post-harvest

NORWAY - Earlier today, on the 8th May 2009, the nomination committee in Marine Harvest ASA published its proposal for new board members to be elected at the company's annual general meeting on 27th May.

The committee proposed reelection of Leif Frode Onarheim and Solveig Stand. Ole Erik Lerøy was proposed as a new member of the board and as vice-chairman of the board.

Ole Erik Lerøy is the former CEO of Lerøy Seafood Group. For a number of years he has been one of the key leaders in the Norwegian aquaculture industry. Lerøy is currently chairman of the board of the Norwegian Seafood Federation.

Marine Harvest ASA's largest shareholder, Geveran Trading Co. Ltd, supports the candidature of Ole Erik Lerøy. In this connection Geveran has entered into an options agreement comprising 10.000.000 shares in Marine Harvest ASA with a strike price of NOK 3.15, with a company controlled by Ole Erik Lerøy. An option premium of NOK 1 million will be paid to Geveran.

The option can be executed on 6. November 2009. If the option is executed, Geveran's holding of shares in Marine Harvest ASA will be reduced with an equal number of shares.
