Korea offers scholarships for training in aquaculture
KOREA - Korean Marine minister granted two scholarships for Dominican technicians that would allow them training in courses on aquaculture under the International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), according to the Dominican ambassador in the Asian country.
Hector Galvan stated that these scholarships are only the initial step in promoting bilateral cooperation in the technological aquaculture field between Korea and the Dominican Republic.
The courses, to last four weeks, are scheduled to start next July.
For some months, the Dominican embassy in Seul has promoted a closer relation with the South Korean Marine Ministry, in view that the Asian country possesses a highly developed technology in the fishing and ship construction, while the Dominican Republic has adequate natural conditions.
