Hervey Bay Fish Farm Potential Highlighted

AUSTRALIA - The fish farming industry says the Hervey Bay region could potentially make hundreds of millions of dollars from the sector, but it is being held back by negative public perceptions.</b> <br><br> Bruce Sambell from the Queensland Aquaculture Industry Federation says the sector is heavily regulated and must meet tough environmental standards. <br><br> He says the south-east coastline is ideally placed to develop aquaculture businesses. <br><br> &quot;This is the warmest part of the southern part because it&#39;s the northern most part of the southern part before you hit the reef and you&#39;ve got the right infrastructure here, particularly with the large airlines now flying out of Hervey Bay.
