AUSTRALIA - A Jurien Bay aquaculture farm which suffered severe fish stock losses from an unknown bacteria last month has been placed into voluntary administration.

In a brief statement, Western Kingfish said the recent deaths of more than 30,000 fish, along with the difficult economic climate, had led to a decision to appoint administrators.

According to ABCNews, the company is one of the first yellowtail kingfish farms in the state and began operations in July.
