UK - A brand new conference takes place in Grimsby next week (15 July) which will explore the challenges faced by the fishing and seafood industry in managing a sustainable future for the long term.

The Humber Seafood Summit brings together a panel of respected industry speakers, NGOs and delegates from across Europe to debate topics on the theme: ‘Sustaining our Future from Sea to Plate.’ The event is hosted by the Humber Seafood Institute with the support of Young’s Seafood/Findus Group and Yorkshire Forward.

The Summit will discuss the responsible management and certification of wild fisheries and then consider the issues around building a sustainable fish farming industry. The afternoon session focuses on the market opportunities and challenges faced by fish producers and retailers in encouraging consumers to eat more seafood.
