“The response has been overwhelming, and I am delighted by the level of exhibitor confidence in this show,” said organiser David Mack.
“We have listened to feedback from exhibitors and visitors, and have improved both the layout and facilities at the event,” he explained. “This is being achieved by setting up a 60m by 30m rigid marquee in front of the conference centre, where all exhibitors will be housed. In addition, an extensive outdoor display arena is being set up on the carpark, with ample room for visitors to walk around the equipment and vessels on display.”
Work is now in hand to gather a team of international speakers for the conference which runs alongside the exhibition, and to plan an exciting menu for the Gala Dinner.
Novartis is once again sponsoring a young scientist competition on the first day of the conference, details of which will be available shortly.
Jorgin Gunarson of LiftUP, one of the world´s leading suppliers of mort extraction systems for fish farms, said:
“Scotland is a very important market for our company, and Aquaculture UK gives us an excellent opportunity to meet our customers. The venue is centrally located, professionally organized, and well visited.
“We especially value the opportunity to meet in on location, so many of the people who order our systems and also the people on the farms who use them. Lift Up has over the years exhibited at shows in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness, but the Aviemore location is by far the best!"
His enthusiasm for the show was echoed by David Elo of Scientific Analysis Laboratories (SAL), who said:
“SAL has been visiting and exhibiting at Aquaculture UK for several years. As a visitor we initially investigated the aquaculture marketplace, and as an exhibitor at the last two shows, we were able to build a valuable customer base. It is the best show of its type in the UK, and we will continue to exhibit there to ensure that SAL becomes known and respected as the best laboratory service for the aquaculture sector.”
The organisers promise an enhanced and memorable experience for exhibitors and visitors at Aquaculture UK 2014, which takes place on 28 and 29 May 2014 in Aviemore, in the Scottish Highlands. “The dates have been fixed to avoid clashing with other major seafood-related events, and are worth putting in the diary now!” said David.
