Trout Post-harvest

CANADA - Following the sale of the feed division EWOS, Cermaq is now a dedicated fish farming company. The company will therefore be changing the name of its farming operations to Cermaq.

Cermaq will utilise the strengths in one common name, and the local farming companies, which today are named Mainstream, will consequently change names to Cermaq.

"Cermaq is a well-established name, and a common name will strengthen our global operations," said CEO Jon Hindar.

Cermaq is the world’s third largest farmer of salmon and trout, with operations in Norway, Chile and Canada. The farming operations is built on acquisitions and organic growth, and there are many company names from Norway, Chile and Canada which have been a part of Mainstream, and which now till change name to Cermaq.

"With this Cermaq will be a uniform company which can utilise the opportunities from being a dedicated farming company," underlined Jon Hindar.

At Cermaq’s Capital Markets Day in Chile ultimo November, Cermaq will present its new strategy post EWOS.
