Best Aquaculture Practice Seminars Set For Greece, Turkey In May

GREECE and TURKEY - The Global Aquaculture Alliances Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) division is holding two seminars on responsible aquaculture in the Mediterranean in mid-May. These free two-day seminars will be held in Athens, Greece, from May 13 to 14 and in Bodrum, Turkey, from May 19 to 20.

These seminars designed for Mediterranean aquaculture producers eager to learn more about the BAP third-party certification system. Sea bass and sea bream are among the species covered by the BAP standards.

The first day of each seminar will feature an overview of the BAP programme, the BAP seafood processing plant standards and the BAP feed mill standards, while the second day will feature an overview of the BAP finfish and crustacean farm standards, the new BAP hatchery standards and BAP market development.

The Greece seminar will take place at the Metropolitan hotel in Athens. Oral presentations will be interpreted into Greek, while PowerPoint slides will be translated into Greek, Turkish, French, Italian and Spanish.
