ASC Launches Microsites in French and Chinese

Sustainability

GLOBAL - The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) has launched two additional microsites in French and Chinese joining the already existing microsites in German, Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese, which were introduced last year.

"I am pleased that we can now offer information about the ASC in a wide range of languages. The microsites help us reach and engage with local farmers and companies across the globe more easily," said Esther Luiten, ASC Commercial Manager.

By introducing more languages to our website we can inform a growing number of stakeholders of the need for responsible aquaculture and how they can join the ASC programme.

Supporting the promotion of responsible aquaculture

ASC has been working closely with China Aquatic Products Processing and Marketing Alliance (CAPPMA) and WWF China to help promote the responsible production of tilapia in China.

The new microsite in Chinese is a welcome initiative. It will support ASC's outreach work to the vast aquaculture industry in China.

The launch of the ASC website in French is also very timely as ASC certified seafood becomes increasingly available in the French speaking markets.

The uptake in Belgium is steadily growing with over 100 approved ASC labelled products to date. And, we look forward to the first ASC certified shrimp arriving in French stores later this year.
