Anticipated Aquasition by Pan Fish ASA of Marine Harvest N.V. UK - Competition Commission invites evidence on this proposed merger.
The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has referred the anticipated acquisition by Pan Fish ASA of Marine Harvest N.V. to the Competition Commission (CC).
The CC has been asked to decide whether the acquisition may be expected to result in a substantial lessening of competition in the UK market for the supply of farmed Atlantic salmon in the EEA (European Economic Area).
The CC is expected to report by 20 December 2006. The CC would like to hear from all interested parties, in writing, by 27 July 2006.
