Michael O Neill

Michael started commercial fishing in 1990, purchasing his first fishing vessel in 1992. In 2004 he began work as a local Enterprise Development Officer. In 2007 Michael returned to the seafood sector, creating Abalone Ireland, Europe’s first commercial abalone RAS farm and Irish Atlantic Salt Ltd, a multi award-winning sea salt manufacturing company. Michael founded Pure Ocean Algae in 2019, which is focused on becoming a vertically integrated algae-based, biotechnology company.
