Margaret Gatonye was previously the CEO of the Aquaculture Association of Kenya (AAK), head of aquaculture projects in East Africa with Larive International and has consulted and partnered in various projects with the East African Community, European Union, United Nations and WorldFish. She is currently working on her doctoral research in UMass-Boston’s McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies, focusing on fisheries and aquaculture in Africa, human security and global governance.
