Thai Gov't to help expand overseas shrimp markets
BANGKOK - The Thai Government will help expand overseas markets for shrimp following the US anti-dumping case. Deputy Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Newin Chidchob, quoted by the Thai National News Bureau, said the Government will look for new export markets or expand the existing ones for shrimp. This will make up for the loss from US markets, where shrimp raisers and traders in eight states filed dumping charges against Thai exporters.
