Shellfish commission allows company to lease

CONNECTICUT - Members of the Shellfish Commission are allowing Mohegan Aquaculture, LLC to raise oysters off an area of Ram Island. Commission chairman Donald Murphy said last week, "We are in the final stages of drafting an agreement." Murphy added he is optimistic that everything will proceed as planned and the area will become a harvesting ground for shellfish.
