The two countries shared their experiences and knowledge in the field of aquaculture. The delegates also toured several laboratories and quarantine centres. They also visited various ports and companies in the industry.
Among the activities carried out, the model of health certification for fisheries products and aquaculture was analysed in accordance with the stipulations of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two nations. The MoU for quality control and hygienic safety of fisheries products was signed on 12 November 2012.
Some of the specific key points defined for the exchange of products are name of the facility, address, identification number etc.
The model health certificate to be established will take effect from 1 January 2014.
