NSW Government's plans may be loop holes : Oyster Farmers speak

NEW SOUTH WALES - Port Stephens' oyster grower, Geoff Diemar, says he is sceptical about the effectiveness of a New South Wales Government strategy to improve the industry's sustainability.

The Oyster Industry Sustainable Aquaculture Strategy released earlier in the year seeks to address development caused water pollution, setting out best practice guidelines.

Geoff Diemar, however, claims the Government should have taken action years ago to save the industry from problems that are now threatening its viability and future.
