New Nigerian Committee Gets Serious About Fish

NIGERIA - The Nigerian Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Rivers State on Aquaculture and Deep Sea Fishing has inaugurated two technical committees with a view towards ascertaining functional aquaculture farms and investigate problems militating against the growth of fish farms in the state.

According to TheTideNews, The committees are also expected to recommend measures aimed at revamping and sustaining holistic interest in fish farming in the state.

Hon. Kurotamunoye Briggs while charging members of the committee to discharge their duties diligently explained that the government of Rivers State intends to revamp and revive the fisheries economic sub-sector of the state and ultimately position the state as number one in terms of fishing industry in the country.

He thanked all the members of the committee for responding to the summons of duty and perceived that this present think tank will chart a positive road map for the state, reports TheTideNews.

He also urged members of the committee to take this critical assignment seriously.
