New Format For Fishing Expo To Be Announced Soon

UK - An evening reception for the UK fishing industry at the SECC, Glasgow, will announce exciting new plans for the Fishing Expo series of exhibitions that the organisers say will firmly re-establish its position as a must visit event in the fishing industry calendar.

The reception on Friday 25 March will thank exhibitors and the wider industry for their strong support in recent years and announce plans for a new format for the popular show that will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2012.

Fran McIntyre, managing director of organiser QD Events, said: “Next year will be the 25th anniversary of the Fishing Expo and we are delighted by the incredible messages of support that we have received from the industry over the last few weeks.

“It is apparent that there is a huge affection and groundswell of support for the Fishing Expo and this is why we have organised an evening reception event to thank the industry and where we will also announce exciting new plans for the 2012 Fishing Expo.”

David Moir, Show Manager for the Fishing Expo said: “As an ex-skipper, it is apparent that there is real support and warmth towards the Fishing Expo from both the UK and international fishing industries. The reception will provide an ideal opportunity to reveal our new plans to take the show forward.”

The evening reception will include a buffet and entertainment, as well as a presentation from Fran McIntyre and David Moir outlining their plans for the new show format for 2012. The event is by invitation only, but anyone who would like to attend and who has not received an invite should contact Charlene Harris, tel: 0141 576 3253, email: charlene.harris@qdevents.co.uk
