The meeting aims to discuss strategic projects to strengthen aquaculture in the region, through the Aquaculture Network for the Americas (ANA) such as, stimulate increased fish consumption in the countries and strengthen the competitiveness of the sector regional aquaculture, among others.
Ministers will also discuss the commitments in the field of public policies for the development of aquaculture Resource Limited (AREL) as a tool for food security in the field of family farming and the future of the Network of Aquaculture of the Americas (RAA ).
The meeting will be conducted by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, which is currently in charge of the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture (MPA) , the United Nations Organization for Food and Agriculture (FAO) , the Aquaculture Network for the Americas and the Undersecretary of Fisheries and Aquaculture in Chile.
