Go Ahead for Aquaculture Project

VIET NAM - A new aquaculture project in Viet Nam worth VND690 billion (US$43.1 million) has been given the go ahead by the The Tra Vinh Peoples Committee

The committee granted the licence to the project during a conference in Ha Noi, The move included signing of a memorandum of understanding between the province and Tra Vinh Telecommunication Co, an affiliate of Viet Nam Post and Telecommunications Group.

The company has promised to implement a series of projects in the hope of upgrading the provincial telecommunication system according to Viet Nam News.

"Attracting domestic and foreign investment is very important for the province’s social and economic development during the process of international integration," said Tra Vinh People’s Committee chairman Tran Hoan Kim during the event. "Local authorities are committed to creating more favourable conditions for investment in Tra Vinh with preferential policies."

Kim said that Tra Vinh Province would provide investors with incentives for training, renting land, building the infrastructure, transferring technology and promoting trade.
