Bakkafrost seals £337 million Scottish Salmon Co deal

Bakkafrost has paid £337 million for 77.8 percent of the shares in the Scottish Salmon Company.

The Faroese firm completed 70 percent of the acquisition, in cash, at a price of NOK 28.25 per share, while the remainder has been financed by a seller's credit.

The Scottish Salmon Company produces around 30,000 tonnes of salmon a year

The company has added that it will make a mandatory cash offer for the remaining shares by the end of the month.
