AUSTRALIA - Adelaide is hosting the world's largest aquaculture conference over the next three days. More than 1,000 delegates from around the world are attending Skretting Australasian Aquaculture. The theme is innovation, advancing and promoting growth within the industry on a global scale. Tuna, shellfish, kingfish, barramundi, prawns, sea urchins along with marketing and corporate branding are just a smidgen of what is on the agenda. Aquaculture is the fastest growing food producing sector in the world and provides about 27 per cent of total seafood supply. Some experts predict that in 25 years, half of everything we eat from the sea will be farmed. Source: ABC Regional Online
