Murilo H Quintiliano

Murilo Quintiliano graduated in Animal Sciences at UNESP - Jaboticabal - Brazil in 2005 and since then has been working alongside universities, research centres and private companies to facilitate a better farming environment. In 2008 he joined FAI to help address the challenges in Brazilian food production and implement changes. Quintiliano was worked to improve conditions for Brazil's terrestrial livestock as well as tilapia, shrimp and carp. He is passionate about animal welfare and the benefits it brings to the economics, environment and ethics of livestock production. Quintiliano has spoken at several worldwide conferences to share his experiences, knowledge and understanding of the challenges of combining farm science with environmental sustainability.

A delegation from the government of Uganda recently visited some of Brazil’s top tilapia farmers, feed producers and regulators, as they seek to grow their own aquaculture sector.
