Kathy is interested in exploring how aquaculture can be harnessed both within and beyond food production for conservation and restoration in aquatic ecosystems. Her PhD research focuses on applying aquaculture techniques for marine restoration, and exploring new restoration strategies for the functionally extinct Australian flat oyster Ostrea angasi.
