Research centre to focus on inland aquaculture

AUSTRALIA - A new research centre is being opened in the Riverland today which the South Australian Government hopes will be the first step in developing an inland aquaculture industry.</b> <br><br> The state and federal governments have put $2 million into the project at Waikerie to use water drawn from salt interception schemes to farm mulloway. <br><br> The project will try to attract business investment, with the aim of having a $20 million a year aquaculture industry by 2013. <br><br> <i>Source: AbcNewsOnline</i>
