Pearl farm gets go ahead

AUSTRALIA - After more than 10 years of trying, Port Stephens Pearls has finally succeeded in getting approval for its plans to develop a commercial pearl oyster farm in Port Stephens.</b> <br><br> The Land and Environment Court has approved the plan, which is subject to 31 conditions. <br><br> The State Government has twice rejected the pearl oyster farm, but the company appealed to the Land and Environment Court, and Justice Talbot handed down his judgement yesterday. <br><br> The approval allows for three pearl oyster leases to be established in Port Stephens, covering 30 hectares. <br><br> <i>Source:</i>
