France joins Denmark in appealing salmon safeguard measures
FRANCE - France has joined Denmark in appealing against the safeguard measures imposed on salmon imports to the EU, according to Chilean news source Aqua.cl.
The move has further raised the hopes of the Norwegians and Chileans of avoiding the trade protection measures.
Managing Director Rodrigo Infante of the Chilean salmon industry's organisation SalmonChile stated that France is providing extra clout to Denmark's appeal, especially since France is one of the countries with most votes in the EU's ministerial council.
