Aquaculture for all

Australia Host 2014 World Aquaculture

AUSTRALIA - The 2014 World Aquaculture Conference will be hosted by South Australia in Adelaide.

More than 3,000 visitors and 200 exhibitors from around the globe are expected to attend the four-day conference, which is organized by the World Aquaculture Society every four years. The event will include tours of South Australia’s fish-farm regions, including Eyre Peninsula.

“South Australian aquaculture is highly regarded around the world,” said Mike Rann, Austrlian Premier. “We are known for our high quality seafood, including southern bluefin tuna, kingfish and oysters, for our research and management expertise, and for our effective government-industry partnership to build aquaculture as a growing contributor to our economy.”

The 2010 World Aquaculture Symposium will be held in San Diego from 1 to 5 March.

Australasian Aquaculture 2010 will be held at Hobart, Tasmania from 23-26 May.
