Aquaculture industry urged to improve marketing

AUSTRALIA - The chairman of the South Australian Aquaculture Council, Bruce Zippel, says the state has improve its performance if wants a larger slice of the growing international seafood market.

The Australasian Aquaculture Conference, which finished in Adelaide yesterday, was told that the world's appetite for seafood shows no signs of diminishing.

The global demand for seafood is expected to increase by 38 million tonnes a year by 2020.

Mr Zippel says the key message from the conference for the state's seafood farmers was very clear.
