Multi X executive joins Australis Aquaculture

Australis Aquaculture, the world’s largest barramundi producer, has appointed Jason Paine as its new president.

Was previously general manager at Multi X - the Chilean salmon farming firm

Effective from 1 March, he will be responsible for leading and growing the North American business across all sales channels.

Jason has an impressive track record of navigating businesses through significant growth in sales and operational complexity in a range of market segments,” said Josh Goldman, CEO and founder of Australis Aquaculture, in a press release.

According to Australis, Paine brings a strong track record with over 30 years of experience in the seafood and aquaculture industry. Most recently, he worked as general manager at Multi X (formerly known as Multiexport Foods, Inc.), where he managed all facets of their North American salmon business.

“I am thrilled to take on this new challenge and responsibility. I am very proud to take the lead of a great team and will put all my efforts into getting Australis and barramundi to the next level in the coming years,” said Paine.
