Our review of Seaspiracy was the most read article on The Fish Site last week. Post-publication, it was interesting to find out more about the director’s attempt to contact Mowi Scotland, the details of which have now been added to the editorial.
Given our disappointment at the lack of voice given to the aquaculture sector in the documentary, this week seems like the perfect time to launch our new Meet the farmer
series and we hope you enjoy profiles of a wide range of farmers from around the world in the coming months. Alongside our popular, long-running Women in aquaculture series, we hope it will help demonstrate the socio-economic benefits of aquaculture, as well as the huge range of career opportunities in the sector. Not to mention the wealth of aquatic species being farmed, as this week’s profile of a Tongan pearl mussel producer demonstrates.
